Did Joe Biden blunder again or did he say that on purpose ?
Here’s an article today from the New York Post:
http://www.nypost.com/seven/10212008/pos topinion/editorials/joe_bidens_fears_134 618.htm

Joe Biden wonders whether Barack Obama is qualified to be commander-in-chief.

"Mark my words," Biden warned Sunday at a Democratic fund-raiser. "It will not be six months [after the inauguration] before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy."

Then he added, "Watch. We’re going to have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy."

Now, here’s where it gets scary.

Obama’s "gonna need your help to use your influence within the community to stand with him. Because it’s not gonna be apparent initially, it’s not gonna be apparent that we’re right."

He’s going to need help?

Terrific.

What’s particularly disturbing is Biden’s Kennedy analogy.

For those who don’t recall, it was a scant five months after JFK became president that Soviet Premier Nikita Khrushchev took his measure.

Kennedy had just bungled the 1961 Bay of Pigs invasion in Cuba, then went off to a summit in Vienna – where Khruschev determined that the rookie chief executive could be had.

Two months later, construction began on the Berlin Wall, precipitating a crisis that nearly led to a US-Soviet shooting war in Europe.

And 14 months after that came the Cuban Missile Crisis – when nuclear Armageddon was only barely averted.

Is Biden saying that America’s current enemies – sorely aware of Obama’s inexperience – plan to test a President Obama with similar crises, to see what he’s made of?

Sure seems like it.

But what if Obama is still on the wrong side of the learning curve when this major international crisis hits?

More important: What if he makes the wrong decision – as even Joe Biden suggests he might?

After all, Obama was wrong about the troop surge in Iraq.

And he was wrong in his initial response to Russia’s invasion of Georgia – when he urged the victimized nation to "show restraint."

And he was wrong when he said he would gladly sit down unconditionally with people like Hugo Chavez and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad – the very people his own running-mate now says are planning to "test" him.

As John McCain said yesterday, "We don’t want a president who invites testing from the world . . . The next president won’t have time."

Little wonder, then, that Biden later admitted that he "probably shouldn’t have said all this."

But why not, Joe?

It’s doubtless all true.

And it’s much better to get it all out now – rather than wait until it’s too late to do anything about it.

He is talking about us "screwing up" our relationship with Israel. Obama wrote in his own book how he would side with islam should anything bad happen.

When he says "it is not gonna be apparent that we are right", It seems he is already making excuses for an obama mistake. Welcome to WW-III.

No need to worry though, He has Collin Powell. He is always Honest to the American people.

And to think if something happened to Obama, he could be our Prez.
Hmmm..
Aw well, it won’t happen.

that’s funny. all those things that you think Obama was ‘wrong’ about, I think he was ‘right’ about. Of course, we’ll never know what this world would be like without a war in Iraq- but in my chess game, it’s a much better place for America.

Vote for McCain in November is the solution to stopping the confused socialist marxist junior senator without a clue on world affairs to even getting close to running our great country

Of course this "test" will be coming from conservatives.

Whenever something bad happens, blame the Republicans. Whenever something halfway decent happens, praise the Democrats.

Obama made a great choice. If we give either of them enough rope they will hang themselves as we have seen over and over. I love it.

Kennedy didn’t bungle the bay of pigs….the CIA did
Whacky Wednesday Weturns | Oct 21, 2008

It was not a blunder at all. If people really listened they would know
all he meant was any new president elect will be tested (like Bush was) and that due to this, he feels Obama will be better able to handle it than McCain. Top political analysts agree.
McCains skills when tested will scare the HELL out of me. He is too hot headed and war hungry.
No thanks.
Madeline Albright along with many Top Political analysts agree to what I just stated here.

Some weeks later, back in her office, she notices a championship for divers that is supposed to take place in Taormina, Italy. Do you think having a senate is unfair to the big states?
I have this feeling that is why the red states get money from the blue states, because they have an unfair advantage in the senate

We’ve been though this discussion already. The pathetic liberal states need to pay homage to the true patriots of America.

Only liberals would argue against that.
Emilio Largo | Feb 01, 2010

No, it helps to protect the little states from the over reaching big states.
baldone | Feb 01, 2010

That’s why there is a House of Representatives…
Think Outside the Ballot Box | Feb 01, 2010

No. All states are represented equally in the senate. It is the House of Reps where the representation is according to size.

Ever stop to think that no state should get money from another state. The purpose of the federal government is not to redistribute the wealth of different states.

Tell you what, red states and blue states can start managing their own budgets and spending projects. Then we’ll see how long the blue states can last before going bankrupt.
? | Feb 01, 2010

But they have the advantage in the House. Legislation has to pass both to become law. Advantages are evened out.
Crown Royal | Feb 01, 2010

I think the only way to truly fix this country is put term limits on all elected positions. Career politicians are and always have been the problem.
Answer man | Feb 01, 2010

Every state has two U.S. Senators and as far as the House (Congress) goes that is based on a states population.

The problems lay in how new Congressional districts are drawn. If you want to look at the problem Google "Congressional districts"
dstr | Feb 01, 2010

I can’t understand the unfair advantage that you seem to claim exists.

1. All money bills need to originate in the House, not the Senate.
2. Democrats control both the House and the Senate.
3. How could "red states" (republican leaning states) benefit more than "blue states" (democrat leaning states) when republicans don’t have a majority in either Legislative body?

So no, I don’t believe that our legislative system is unfair at all.
ItsJustMe | Feb 01, 2010

that’s why we have the House of Representatives, to balance this out.
Madd Hatter | Feb 01, 2010

No, it ensures equal representation of all states. Citizenship 101.
Norm Deguere | Feb 01, 2010

Yeap

The House should be good enough…………and the Senators should just be Janitors
Milk Cow | Feb 01, 2010

Yes, it makes no sense whatsoever.
Tom | Feb 01, 2010

Because most corporate headquarters are in large cities (i.e. blue states), the income tax generated by business conducted in red states is attributed to having been paid by blue states. However, red states do not receive more money than they pay in taxes when corporate taxes are recalculated as having been paid by the states that generated them.

As for the Senate, it prevents the big states from oppressing the smaller states. It was on the basis of this protection that many smaller states joined the Union.
Dutch | Feb 01, 2010

Despite the need to protect the rights of the minority from the tyranny of the majority the disparity in power has gotten extreme. The senators from California represent nearly 37,000,000 people whereas the senators from Wyoming represent fewer than 550,000.
Hubris252 | Feb 01, 2010

Its funny that you mention this, because a few hundred years ago, there was this thing called the Constitutional Convention. The small states complained that if they gave representation based on size, that they would have no voice since the big states would have too much power. The big states argued that if you gave equal representation it would be unfair since they have much more people. So they made a compromise and made 2 houses, the House of Representatives as the lower house that is based on population, and the upper house, the Senate, based on equal representation. As far as I’m concerned the issue was solved then.
pepito | Feb 01, 2010

No, It’s fair… Well somewhat.
Sugar | Feb 01, 2010

It clearly is unfair and inequitable, for New hampshire or rhode island to have the same representation as texas or california is clearly ridiculous, however the politicians and activist judges have virtually dismantled the constitution over the last 100 years, so maybe it is time for a complete re-structure but definitely not one designed by politicians, with more rights reverting to the states and a limit on federal government
Harley Drive | Feb 01, 2010

Yeah. That’s why Al Gore invented the House of Representatives.

Can't figure out what movie i'm thinking of.?
I read the plot in the internet a while back and now i’ve been meaning to rent it now.

Its a horror movie, possibly sci-fi as well.
It reminds me of doom in the style of the creatures. Mutated, alien-like humanoids.
The only thing i remember clearly is that there is a mutated humanoid on a bed (possibly iin a holding cell/lab and it seems to know its situation. It either asks with words or signals for the person who walks in to kill it and then shoots it in the head.

The only OTHER movie i can think of that fits what i’ve written is The FLy with Jeff Goldblum. However the the movie is quite modern and im sure its a sci-fi setting.
No to the Thing and Legend. Its modern
Like i said it reminds me of Doom, without BEING Doom. But the gross mutated alien humanoid-like features are there..
BINGO!!!

Alien resurrection!!!!

Legend, maybe?

hmm i hate lightsworn and never ran them so i cant really give u any pointers. But a nice site to buy them from is yugiohmint.com, thats where i get my cards from and they come nice and they’re pretty cheap. You can find a charge of the light brigade for only 3.30, which is really good. And that would be a good card to add to your deck too.
yiddydaboss | Jan 10, 2010

I’m sorry but I don’t know the price range on these cards, but I recommend that you buy them from eBay for some great prices:
You should get these:
Lyla Lightsworn Sorceress
Lumina, Lightsworn Summoner
Ryko, Lightsworn Hunter (I think these are worth around $5, I got mines pretty cheap on eBay)
Wulf, Lightsworn Beast
Celestia, Lightsworn Angel
another Solar Recharge
Jain, Lightsworn Paladin (A common card)

A side note:
Garoth and Jenis are kind of useless. I’d recommend that you use 1-2 Garoths and no Jenis at all.
